An ergonomic assessment and a re-assessment were done 7 months apart for a 47-person office. At the time of the initial assessment, ergonomic risk factors were recorded with recommendations for all the workstations. While the recommendations were being implemented by management and safety, they decided on their own to pilot test 6 stand-up/sit-down Varidesks. At the time of the re-assessment, there was one outstanding comment made by a customer service representative. She said that she has 'much better rapport' with her customers as a result of her improved ergonomics. Having good rapport with customers will pay the company in dividends. I do recall her being a grouch during the initial assessment. At the time of re-assessment it fit her perfectly standing and sitting. Others stated that they have 'greater energy', 'happier', and fewer aches/pains. Objectively, risk factors were reduced for the pilot test group in sitting and standing. The entire company improved but the Varidesk group was outstanding. I would recommend a Varidesk at this point.
